A terrific reminder, Jen. I have begun to build an organization in our community and make sure that we are working across labels for our guests and speakers. So far, our meetings at organized around public education and legislation that affects it as well as water and living with drought. I’ve already begun to see that people I had viewed as on one side of an issue have more in common with me than I realized. A friend at church today who attended the most recent event on water told me the same thing. It is sacred, holy work to rebuild society and connection.

Thanks for this, Jen. It’s right in line with a Braver Angels workshop I went to yesterday. I had never heard of the group; its messages, especially “seek to understand,” keep resonating. I’m going to explore them further. I’ll keep this email of yours!
